Intel to Invest US$230 Mln in Malaysia

Intel recently announced it will invest US$230 million in Kulim, Malaysia for a new production and testing site, and a R&D center, with the investment being evenly distributed over the production and testing site, which is expected to start operations in 2007, and the R&D center. The investment will be completed within two to three years and will create 2,000 new jobs in the country, where Intel already has a strong presence with a workforce of 10,000.
